Planned Giving Opportunities

Creating a Legacy for the Future
Long range charitable planning may permit you to make a more substantial gift than you thought was possible and you may receive greater tax benefits. Some of these gifts include:

Bequests
If you are considering including the Club in your will, the following suggested language should be shared with your attorney: “I give, devise and bequesth to the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club, 135 Forest Avenue, Locust Valley, NY 11560, the sum of $_____ (or otherwise describe the gift of specify a percentage of the estate) to be used for its general purposes.”

Charitable Gift Annuity
The charitable gift annuity is a wonderful opportunity to make a gift that will support the Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club in the future while providing an immediate or deferred stream of income for yourself or others, receive an income tax deduction when you make the gift, and save on estate taxes. Payout rates are determined by life expectancies and are very attractive at higher ages.
The rates for a Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club charitable gift annuity are based on the age(s) of the annuitant(s). There are single life rates and joint and survivor rates for two individuals. Older annuitants receive a higher rate. Below is a sample list of single life annuity rates based on the age of the donor at the time of gift.

Single Life Age Rate
60 5.0
65 5.3
70 5.7
75 6.3
80 7.1
85 8.1
90+ 9.5
